Mavado's Son Has Been Charged With Murder

The 16-year-old son of Dancehall Entertainer David Brooks, o/c 'Mavado' has been charged by Detectives with Murder, Conspiracy to Murder, Arson, Shooting with Intent, Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition for the murder of Lorenzo Thomas committed on the June 05.

The juvenile has been charged with murder, conspiracy to murder, arson, shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition

An adult suspect who was also held in connection with Thomas' killing is reportedly still in custody but the police say his details will be released pending further investigations.

According to reports from the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Corporate Communications Unit, Thomas, a 24-year-old labourer was killed by men who kicked open the door to his home about 3:30 am armed with firearms, machetes and gasoline.

The men reportedly fired multiple gunshots at Thomas before inflicting several chop wounds then set him afire.
