“Giant, Unique, and Above Average” 

Mardix Cn has arrived describing his own sound and style using words that provoke the minds of both young and old. He embraces this as means to readily affect the nation and the world at large with a professional debut.

Born Omar Dixon in Jamaica and raised in between Kingston and Trelawny, Omar embraced his diverse background from an early age. Omar was put in the spotlight from young, always performing and entertaining his family.

By the youthful age of 12, Omar had become increasingly popular within his community and at school functions. Taking duties as the Emcee, Omar would navigate each function with his voice in his spare time. With encouragement from family members and friends, Omar started his transition into an artist by performing every time he could; he performed at school events, talent shows, weekend parties, community gatherings, etc. Omar grasped each opportunity to nurture his music as he realized his true passion.

The name Mardix Cn has been coined from his first and last name taking Mar from Omar and Dix from Dixon to form Mardix  and Cn (CN is the shorting for Champion). As childhood gave way to his teen years, Omar was inspired by various artists such Beenie Man and Bounty Killer in the Dancehall medium. By listening to the sound of these great artists alongside influences like 50 cent, Tupac, and Bob Marley, Mardix Cn began to define and choreograph his own sound and style. During his first moments of studio recording, Mardix Cn realized his passion was not just for music but writing as well.

Over the years, Mardix Cn has received monumental opportunities such as performing with various young artistes, which after his popular song (I don’t wanna lose you) was recognized and even broke barriers to Europe which is still gaining momentum.  He graduated from the Albert Town high school as (Head Boy, Prefect & Peer councillor) and 6 CSEC subjects and a pending career at the bethel college....

After years of nurturing his sound and learning from experiences, Mardix Cn is ready to emerge. he is promoting two official single (the message) and (Bubble Instructor) Produced by  Y.G.F RECORDS, he also prepares for a mixtape scheduled 2017. Focused on leaving a lasting mark with his music, uplifting and empowering the youth, Mardix Cn is ready to project his “giant, unique, and above average” sound to every valley and hill!
