An avid writer, the recording artiste identified her passion for music at tender age while attending St. Marguerite d’Youville Secondary School. She later developed her skills and gradually evolved into a performer as her appreciation for the art form grew.

Her musical influences are drawn from various cultures and countries which include Jamaica, Canada, the United States and sections of Africa. According to the artiste, by absorbing various types of music, she has developed her own unique sound…a sound which will cement her place as a trend setter among her peers.
In her formative years, Kim Kelly was widely known for her unique image and her mouth watering sense of fashion. She therefore looks to capitalize on her knack for fashion by starting her own chain of hair stores in coming years.

As is the case with several recording artistes, her first experience as a live performer started in the church. However Kelly took this experience as a stepping stone to branch off into reggae and later dancehall music. The church stage gradually led to pop up concerts, which led to club appearances then gradually festivals. This early exposure to the performing arts, helped to build her character, confidence and technique to perform in front of a large audiences.

Following her graduation from school, the artiste opted to forego college, as she was sure she wanted to travel a music path and as such she decided to become a student of the art by immersing herself into the field. She attended various events and personally participated in musical activities so as to better grasp the concept of entertainment.

Kim Kelly says her tenure as a student researching and actively preparing herself for the tedious music industry, has molded her into a musical beast which is ready to unleash her musical fury on the world.
The Canada based artiste has already released singles like Fall in Love and Alive, the latter featuring self proclaimed King of Dancehall Vybz Kartel. Alive is her most successful single to date and as amassed close to a million views on YouTube.com.

Much of her content has secured a strong fan base on social media. She is also looking forward to win over local and international fans while telling her story via her music.

Kim Kelly is currently working with veteran Jamaican producer TJ Records and has released a record titled Proper Fix. She has also worked with producers in the UK and Canada.
