Bassick Records Bio
Brothers Stefan and Daniel Jones, at age 18 and 17 respectively, created a record label in the comfort of their home, using a bedroom as the recording studio. They've then produced and released over 50 songs on their label. The brothers are known for their hit singles "It's a Celebration" and "Shampoo" by their prodigy artiste Ding Dong, who they have been working with from the start. Stefan and Daniel grew up in a family of musicians, with their deceased grand mother Sylvia Sterling, being the first and only female double (upright) bass player in Jamaica. She played in the Philharmonic Orchestra of Jamaica. Other close relatives were trumpeters, pianists and bassists. At a very young age, the two played the violin in the Twinkle Ensemble, with conductor Moyah Gibson. Music has been a part of them ever since. They work closely with the talented Roel Powell, Kimani Smith and Darren Jack from Majahlabel Music Group, as well as Peter "Shady" Harrison from Downsound Records. Bassick's work was recently published on Aidonia's album "Project Sweat" with a song called "Gyal Position" composed by Roel Powell, Stefan Jones and Daniel Jones. There's a lot more in store for the label. Owners: Daniel Jones, Stefan Jones
